Are you interested in learning how to take a tree and make a bowl? How about learning how to do those beautiful segmented bowls with design rings, or a lidded box with finials, or just something that you saw in a magazine and would like to know how to make it. Our mentoring program may be your solution. The new mentoring program is alive and well. Two people have received mentoring in the last month and two more are currently scheduling sessions. The feedback so far has been excellent from both parties. Don't be shy about requesting help even if you're an experienced turner and would like to learn something different or would like to see how others do the same thing as yourself. I'm always amazed when we have our training sessions at Jim's house and every turner seems to have a different twist on how to get the same results. I'm still looking for more mentors in different locations. Also, I would like someone to sign up as an ornamental turning mentor (selfish reason for requesting this).
