We take wood in the form of trees destined for firewood and turn it into useful things like bowls.
Please contact us if you know of any wood becoming available, as it is our primary source of wood.

For a description for the segmentation: If you've been thinking about trying your hand at segmentation, or tried it and had questions that you would like to ask, then our 2 meeting program in January and February 2010 are for you. This started in January, and assumed that you have not done segmentation before. As a group, the club selected a shape for the vessel that we will design in detail in Feb.
With the shape designed, we will discuss different designs for feature rings and how to make them, followed by selecting a design for our vessel.
In February we will prepare a cut sheet, discuss different methods of cutting the pieces and the tools required. Included will be a discussion of jigs that David uses, along with info on how to construct them will be included. By the end of the program in February you will leave with a plan for the vessel that we designed along with all the information required to cut up, build it, and turn it to a finished product.
Mar: Ever thought of making a peppermill? Wondered where you have to start, what tools you need? What are the best parts and where do I get them? If you've tried to make one, you know how confusing the directions that are available can be. Well our program in March 2010 will answer these questions. Fred Rastgar has been building peppermills for several years. He will cover the steps required to build a peppermill and share his experiences making them. You should leave the meeting set to order the parts and build that special peppermill that you will use every day. Your significant other might even see this as a major step up from all those bowls that you've been making.
